Paying 33% of the income to Haryana government helped Vijender Singh get the permission to turn pro
Vijender Singh, who won a bronze medal in 2008 Olympic Games, was the first sportsperson who had a job in Haryana government and was seeking permission to turn pro in 2015. A new policy to pay 33 percent of the income earned by the sportsperson was framed by the government after Vijender’s case.
