Rio 2016 | Indian Women archers disappoint; Deepika Kumari finishes 20th as India take seventh spot

Deepika Kumari, who was leading the standings after the fifth end, finished 20th in the women’s individual ranking round in a big disappointment to India. Bombayla Devi and Laxmirani Majhi finished 24th and 43rd respectively as Indian women’s team took the seventh spot.

Rio 2016 | Atanu Das finishes fifth in the ranking round; Kim Woojin creates World record

India’s lone male archer, Atanu Das, finished 5th in the Archery individual ranking round with 683 points on Saturday at Sambódromo to move into the elimination round of the 2016 Rio Olympics. Kim Woojin from South Korea topped the rankings with a new world record score of 700 points.
