Cross-country skier Jagdish Singh and luger Shiva Keshavan are set to represent India at the Winter Olympic Games scheduled to take place in Pyeongchang from February 9. Siva is going to participate in his sixth Winter Olympics Games, while Jagdish is going to have his first outing.

The luger was the sole Indian representative at the Nagano and Salt Lake City Olympic games of 1998 and 2002. In the 2006 Turin games, he was joined by Neha Ahuja and Hira Lal for Alpine skiing and also by Bahadur Gupta for cross-country skiing. In the 2010 Vancouver games, Indian contingent had Keshavan along with Jamyang Namgial (alpine skiing) and Tashi Lundup (cross-country skiing).

The 2014 Sochi Games had Keshav, Himanshu Thakur (alpine skiing) and Nadeem Iqbal (cross-country skiing) as the representatives of  India who had to walk as ‘independent athletes’ due to the suspension on the Indian Olympic Association by the International Olympic Committee.

The four times Asia Luge champion, Shiva Keshavan, and Jagdish Singh will try to put up a good show at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Games and make India proud at the games.
