India’s campaign at the ongoing BWF World Junior Championships in Kazan, Russia, came to an end after all the singles and doubles players crashed out before the quarter-final stage. Aditi Bhatt, who was playing girl’s singles and doubles events, was knocked out of both in straight games.

Aditi endured an outright miserable day at the Junior Championships, losing her singles and doubles ties in nearly thirty minutes each. In the singles event, Aditi went down 11-21, 15-21 to fourth-seeded Indonesian Putri Kusuma Wardani in just 30 minutes.

Later on the day, she and her partner Tanisha Crasto proved to be no match to the Japanese combination of Atsumi Miyazaki and Chihiro Uchiyama. The 12th seeded Indian pair went down — in straight sets again — 11-21, 14-21 in 32 minutes.

Meanwhile, in the boy’s singles category, Rohan Gurbani lost 15-21, 13-21 to China’s Ren Cheng Ming while the doubles combination of Manjit Singh Khwairakpam and Dingku Singh Konthoujam were also eliminated in the pre-quarterfinals round.

Manjit and Dingku started the contest well but failed to maintain their momentum throughout the match. Fifth seeds Rory Easton and Ethan van Leeuwen of England came back from a game down to beat the Indian pair 16-21, 21-17, 21-14 and that ended India's campaign in the competition.
