Vijender, who holds a 9-0 record, is all set to defend his WBO Oriental & Asia Pacific Super middleweight title against experienced Ernest Amuzu on December 23 at the Rajasthan Rumble in Jaipur. Ernest Amuzu is no amateur as he will be looking to win 26th pro fight of his career.

After organising three successful title fights of India’s knockout king Vijender Singh in Delhi and Mumbai, IOS Boxing Promotions and Vijender Singh Promotions is now moving to the Pink City of ‘Jaipur’ in Rajasthan. On 23rdDecember, the historical Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium of Jaipur will host ‘Rajasthan Rumble’ the Pro boxing spectacle of WBO Asia Pacific and Oriental Super Middleweight Champion Vijender Singh.

The 32 year old Haryana boxer who is currently 9th in the WBO rankings is all set to defend his titles WBO Asia Pacific and Oriental super middleweight title against African Champion Ernest Amuzu in the mega show ‘Rajasthan Rumble’. Indian Boxing sensation Vijender Singh defeated China’s No.1 boxer Zulpikar Maimaitiali during his last fight in Mumbai to claim WBO Oriental Super Middleweight title and successfully defended his WBO Asia Pacific title.

Vijender Singh, who had won double title fight in August this year entered professional boxing in the year 2015. Vijender has 9 wins under his belt with 7 of them being won by KO and 2 by Unanimous Decision. He has played 40 rounds in his 9 fights of pro career so far. In his last three title fights held in India, Vijender has won all three with 1 knockout win and 2 unanimously. Before winning double title fight against Chinese Zulpikar Maimaitiali in August this year, Golden boy of Indian boxing was challenged by Francis Cheka of Tanzania for his WBO Asia Pacific Title in December last year which was gracefully retained by Vijender Singh. Vijender Singh won his maiden title last year in July after defeating Kerry Hope of Australia. Other top Indian Pro boxers will feature in the card which will be announced soon.

Commenting on his next fight in India, Vijender Singh said “I am really excited on having my 10th fight in India in the Pink City of Jaipur. I am training hard in the ring for the last two months and still have three weeks to go for my next fight, so looking forward to winning the third title fight in a row. I am sure it will be an exciting fight night for the people of Jaipur and I am confident that sporting fans will come out in large number to support me when I compete for my third title fight”.

The 34 year old boxer from Ghana Ernest Amuzu is looking at winning 26th pro fight of his career against Vijender Singh who is currently at the 9th place in WBO rankings. West African Boxing Union Middleweight champion and Ghanaian middleweight champion holds a record of 23 wins with 21 knockouts and 2 loss out of total 25 fights he has fought so far in his career. This is his first fight in Asia. Highly experienced boxer from Ghana, Ernest Amuzu has also been an amateur boxer who participated in the Commonwealth Games 2002, All Africa Games in 2004 and two African Championships in 2003 and 2005.  

Commenting on his fight against Indian boxer Vijender Singh, Ernest Amuzu said “I know Vijender Singh is a good boxer and has been an unbeatable in his pro career so far, but I will give him a tough challenge on 23rd December and I am confident that he will lose his both the titles in front of his home crowd. So far Vijender has not faced any tough and experienced opponent like me, I am sure that after facing me in the ring he will realise how tough pro boxing is. I am ready and fully prepared to defeat Vijender Singh in the early 3-4 rounds Knockout win”.

Vijender Singh headlined fight will also see other talented Indian fighters competing for 4 to 8 rounder fights in Rajasthan Rumble. Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium has a total capacity of Approx. 4000 seats and the tickets for the fight are already available for sale on www.kyazoonga.com. The tickets are priced starting at Rs. 400.
