Chahal in, Kohli out: Dhoni to lead Indian squad to tour Zimbabwe

BCCI announced the 15-man squad to travel to Zimbabwe next month and managed to throw a couple of surprises. Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane were given much deserved rest for the tour to Africa, but there were call ups for Yuzvendra Chahal, Barinder Sran and Faiz Fazal, with Dhoni leading the squad.

BCCI announced the 16-man squad to travel to Zimbabwe next month and managed to throw up a couple of surprises. Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane were given much deserved rest for the tour to Africa, but there were call ups for Yuzi Chahal, Barinder Sran and Faiz Fazal, with Dhoni leading the squad.

MS Dhoni has been put in charge to lead a young side to Zimbabwe. Yuzvendra Chahal, who is the leading wicket-taker in the ongoing IPL season, has been rewarded with a call up and would be looking to make his debut against the African side. Barinder Sran is in the side as well after making his debut earlier in the year in Australia. The left arm pacer has had an impressive IPL season as well with 12 wickets, helping Sunrisers Hyderabad reach the playoffs.

Other young stars include, Delhi Daredevils players Karun Nair and Jayant Yadav, who have impressed with the bat and ball respectively. Faiz Fazal, now 30, has earned a call up after a successful outing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
