Ace commentator Harsha Bhogle picked his best Indian Test line-up and surprisingly, he has chosen current coach Anil Kumble to lead the side despite having Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni in the team. Bhogle also made another surprise inclusion by picking Mohammad Azharuddin ahead of Sourav Ganguly.

After Rameez Raja picked his best world XI a few days ago, another commentator Harsha Bhogle chose his dream Test XI of Indian players where he picked a line-up consisting of some of the best Test cricketers the country has ever produced. To open his innings, Bhogle went for a combination of chalk and cheese with Sunil Gavaskar and Virender Sehwag.

There is hardly any argument when it comes to choosing India's best No.3 in Tests. Harsha went for the legendary Rahul Dravid to bat at No.3 followed by the greatest batsman in the history of Indian cricket—Sachin Tendulkar—walking in at No.4.

While many would have gone with Sourav Ganguly or VVS Laxman to come in at No.5, Bhogle pushed the latter to No.6 in his batting line-up and chose controversial cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin to bat at No.5.

Kapil Dev's inclusion in the side by Bhogle cannot be argued as the “Haryana Hurricane” still remains the finest all-rounder India has ever produced. MS Dhoni was picked to keep behind the stumps while another fine all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin is the first spinner in the side.

Anil Kumble, famous for his aggressive Test leadership during the late 2000's, has been handed over the captaincy of the team by Bhogle. The line up was complete with Zaheer Khan, who has had to shoulder the responsibility of spearheading India's pace attack for more than a decade.
