Bangladeshi pacer Mustafizur Rahman will join Sunrisers Hyderabad today and will train with the team ahead of their away match against Mumbai Indians tomorrow (April 12). The 21-year-old used his social media accounts to confirm his participation in the tenth edition of the IPL.

Rahman's participation in the IPL was under severe threat after the Bangladesh Cricket Board shared its apprehensions about releasing the injury-prone bowler with the 2017 Champions Trophy just around the corner. However, they seem to have had a change of heart as Rahman announced his participation through social media.

Rahman played an important role in Sunrisers' title-winning campaign last year where he picked up 17 wickets from 16 matches at an average of 24.76. However, after the IPL, the youngster suffered a shoulder injury while playing in the English County Championship for Sussex. But his struggles with injuries weren't done yet as he played just two ODIs and two T20Is against New Zealand before succumbing to a hamstring injury.

SRH coach Tom Moody had indicated that the 21-year-old could feature in the IPL as soon as the Mumbai game stating, "Mustafizur is more than likely to join the squad in Mumbai," Cricbuzz had confirmed. However, now the youngster has confirmed the news himself which will be received with a smile by the Hyderabad fans.

But this time his place in the side might not be guaranteed with teenager Rashid Khan hogging the headlines and Moises Henriques and David Warner contributing with the bat. The fourth overseas' spot is currently being held by Ben Cutting who is handy with both ball and bat. But if he can recreate his form from of the last season, Rahman can displace anyone from the team.
