Aaron Finch was replaced by Jason Roy for their match against Mumbai Indians today. Suresh Raina informed about the change during the toss where he stated that the reason for replacing the in-form batsman was the absence of his kit bag which had not arrived from Rajkot.

The Gujarat fans were shocked when they realised that Aaron Finch was not included in the playing XI. The Aussie batsman seemed to have got his run-scoring rhythm back against the Rising Pune Supergiants in the last match where he chipped in with 33 crucial runs and finished off the match for Gujarat with his back to back sixes.

The fans would have been even more dismayed as the replacement seemed to be due to an organizational fault and not something to do with the batsman. Finch's kit bag had not reached Mumbai from Rajkot which was very unfortunate for the batsman as well as the Gujarat side.

Aakash Chopra brought up the funny side of the incident with his tweet.

He tweeted,"Finch isn't playing because his kit bag did not arrive. Yes That's right. #IPL #MIvGL Can't anyone lend him the bat?"

Gujarat lost the toss and were put into bat and the skipper seemed positive about the team and their form. Gujarat made another change to the team bringing in Munaf Patel in place of Shadab Jakati.
