David Warner, who hurt himself while taking the catch to dismiss Rishabh Pant yesterday has revealed that he has suffered an injury to his rib cage. The SRH captain also praised Kane Williamson and Shikhar Dhawan for their 136-run stand, which laid the foundation for Hyderabad’s second straight win.

"I hurt myself on the rib cage," Warner said after the 15-run win over Delhi Daredevils

Williamson, who warmed the bench in the initial games of the tournament, grabbed his first chance to impress this season with both hands scoring a magnificent 52-ball 89. He got an able ally in the form of Shikhar Dhawan, who scored 70 runs - his first half-century in the tournament.

"It was an outstanding performance from the guys. Kane, first game for him this year, the way he and Shikhar played laid an outstanding platform for the guys," said Warner.

"We galvanise well together, we know what to expect. Fantastic performance from the guys with the bat and then following it up with the ball as well."

Like last year, the Sunrisers bowling unit has lived upto the expectations. Even though the two-star bowlers, so far, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan went wicketless, debutant Mohammad Siraj and Sidharth Kaul came to the fore and secured a victory for their team.

Talking about his bowling unit, Warner said, "Delhi have an outstanding bowling attack with pace upfront. It was about tossing the ball to the youngster playing the first game or go to Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar Kumar), our experienced paceman.

"We threw the ball to the youngster and he came out on top. To come out and play the way he played, and Bhuvi was world-class again. Credit to the fast bowlers."
