Former Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene silenced an MS Dhoni fan on Twitter by displaying his savagery through words on the eve of Usain Bolt’s retirement. This isn’t the first time that we have seen him returning with witty comebacks.

It is a virtue of the greats to reply to critics with the subtlest of nuances and someone like Sri Lanka’s Jayawardene, who is known for his calm demeanour and classy shot selection, has been doing it for years on the field.
