The lightning-quick MS Dhoni's reputation behind the stumps paved way for Sri Lankan opener Danushka Gunthilaka giving up his wicket even though Dhoni was seen fumbling the ball in the first attempt before stumping. With the dismissal, Dhoni equaled Kumar Sangakkara's world record of 99 stumpings.

MS Dhoni has been one of the quickest wicket keepers in World cricket since his arrival at the scene and has produced wickets out of nowhere owing to his lightning quick reflexes.

In the ongoing second ODI against Sri Lanka at Pallekelle, Dhoni's reputation behind the stumps came in handy when Danushka Gunthilaka gave up his wicket without trying to get back to the crease after the ball went past him. Following Niroshan Dickwella's wicket and the end of the first power play, Indian skipper Virat Kohli brought in wrist spinner Yuzvendra Chahal to work his magic with the ball. After a couple of quiet overs for Sri Lanka, Danushka Gunthilaka decided to break the shackles by picking on Chahal and using his feet to counter his spin. However, while dancing down the pitch, the Sri Lankan opener yorked himself and the ball was soon past him to MS Dhoni behind the stumps.

After a couple of quiet overs for Sri Lanka, Gunthilaka decided to break the shackles by picking on Chahal and using his feet to counter his spin. However, while dancing down the pitch, the Sri Lankan opener yorked himself and the ball was soon past him to MS Dhoni behind the stumps.

Dhoni was blinded by Gunathilaka's advancement down the pitch and failed to gather the ball creating a chance for the Sri Lankan opener to find his way back to the crease. However, Gunathilaka had already given up and did not even look behind as Dhoni gathered the ball on rebound and whipped the bails off to equal Kumar Sangakkara's world record of 99 stumpings.

Sri Lankan skipper Upul Tharanga soon followed his compatriot and India emerged as the dominant team yet again with Sri Lanka reeling at 123/5 in 29 overs after Niroshan Dickwella provided a strong start to the hosts.

Ravi Rampaul or Shane Shillingford? Who will take more wickets?
