India's juggernaut continued to roll as the batsmen piled on the runs while bowlers broke the Bangladesh batting line-up. During the clinical performance in the Test against Bangladesh, the team and some of its members broke numerous records and set some new ones. Here's a look at some of them.

1206 - The number of runs scored by Virat Kohli in this home Test season. The runs are more than any other batsman in any home season. He broke Virender Sehwag's record of 1104 runs scored in the 2004-05 season. Sehwag scored his runs in 17 innings, while the current Indian captain has done it in 15 at an average of 89.94.

254 - The number of wickets R Ashwin has after 45 matches. He became the fastest to reach 250 wickets, bettering Dennis Lille's 48 Tests matches. Until now, the most number of wickets picked up in the first 45 Tests were 232, by Dale Steyn. Harbhajan Singh had picked up 199 in his first 45, which was the most by an Indian. Anil Kumble, with 55 Tests was the fastest Indian to reach the 250 mark.

20 - India's unbeaten streak at home. They last lost a Test match at home to England at Kolkata in 2012. This equals India's longest unbeaten stretch at home. Between 1977 and 1980, India went 20 Tests without a defeat at home. However, they won only 6 Tests of those 20. This time around, they have won 17.

19 - India's unbeaten streak under captain Virat Kohli is now at an all-time high. India's last defeat came against Sri Lanka at Galle in August 2015. Sunil Gavaskar's team went 18 matches without a defeat between 1976 and 1980. Virat has now bettered that mark, and with 4 more home tests remaining, looks likely to extend the record.

15 - The number of Test victories as a captain for Virat Kohli. In 23 Tests, no other Indian captain had as many. Clive Lloyd, Ricky Ponting and Michael Vaughan are the only other international captains to have had 15 victories in 23 matches while Steve Waugh is the only one to have more - 17.

8 - Virat Kohli is the first Indian captain to win 8 consecutive International series. He surpassed MS Dhoni, who had won 7 successive international series as a captain in 2013.

5 - The win over Bangladesh is India’s 5th Test win on the trot, which is their second-best streak. Their best stretch of victories came in 2013, when they won 6 Tests in a row - 4 against Australia and 2 against the West Indies.

4 - The number of Test double centuries Virat Kohli has scored in the last 4 Test series. He is the first batsman to do so. Don Bradman and Rahul Dravid had scored 3 double centuries in 3 consecutive Test Series. Bradman, though, being the outlier he was, scored 6 double centuries in those 3 seires.
