Ravichandran Ashwin has fondly remembered his last-over discussion with MS Dhoni in the Champions Trophy 2013 as one of his memorable moments with India's now-former limited-overs captain. Ashwin has also wished to see MS Dhoni bat more freely since he has now stepped down as India's captain.

After being unnecessarily called ungrateful for not including MS Dhoni in his thank you message few weeks ago, Ravichandran Ashwin showed how much he admires his former captain with a series of tweets on Thursday. Ashwin has been one of the talents who made it big on the international stage under the guidance of Dhoni, and the 31-year old paid tribute to India's greatest limited-overs captain by recalling his most memorable moment with him.

Ashwin bowled the tense final over of the Champions Trophy final when England needed to score 15 runs in the last 6 balls but conceded only 9 runs, thus taking India to a Champions Trophy title by 5 runs. The off-spinner has revealed that the last-over discussion he had with Dhoni was the main reason behind the success.

Ashwin also now wishes Dhoni to be back to his aggressive batting style after taking up the role of a finisher for the best part of a decade for the team.

We also hope Dhoni comes back as the explosive batsman we seen him in the past.
