India dropped down one place, to the fifth position, in the latest T20I rankings after their nine-wicket loss against West Indies in the one-off T20 yesterday. Meanwhile, West Indies moved up a place gaining three points to displace India from the fourth spot with 115 rating points.
West Indies were four points behind India in the fifth spot and the win saw them gaining three points to finish fourth with 117 points. The rest of the table remained unchanged with New Zealand heading the table followed by England and Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Evin Lewis' unbeaten 125 against India did the Windies opener a world of good as he broke into the top-10 for the first time in his career and rocketed to the 4th spot straightaway. Indian skipper Virat Kohli continued to head the table and his explosive 39-run innings helped him strengthen his position at the helm of the table, taking a staggering 17-point lead ahead of second placed Aaron Finch.
The bowling rankings did not change at the top as Imad Wasim continues to lead the table followed by Jasprit Bumrah and Imran Tahir at the second and third spot respectively. Ravichandran Ashwin retained his tenth spot even after losing five points after giving away 39 runs in his quota of 4 overs in the game against the West Indies.
