British announcer and journalist Piers Morgan tried to take a dig at Virender Sehwag after India's loss to England in the Women's World Cup final. However, Morgan received a fitting reply from Sehwag which was backed by the Twitterati and the Birton yet again ended up on the receiving end.

The Indian women's team put on a splendid show in the Women's World Cup 2017 but fell just nine runs short of lifting their maiden title. While all the country including former Indian opener Virender Sehwag were all praises for the Women in Blue, Piers Morgan tried to take a dig at Sehwag for India's setback at the World Cup.

Sehwag and Morgan have been involved in Twitter banter over the last year or so and every time the former Indian opener has outwitted the British journalist and ended up having the last laugh. Shortly after India's defeat at the hands of England and Sehwag's tweet Morgan had a go at the former Indian opener trying to troll him for India's loss.

Morgan had earlier criticised India for celebrating winning two medals at the Rio 2016 Olympics tweeting, “Country with 1.2 billion people wildly celebrates 2 losing medals. How embarrassing is that?”

To this tweet Sehwag had replied,“We cherish every small happiness’, But Eng who invented Cricket,&yet2win a WC,still continue to playWC.Embarrassing?”

Following the banter, Morgan had wagered a bet with Sehwag placing a million rupees on England to win a World Cup before India wins a gold at the Olympics. The 52-year old posted a screenshot of the same and asked Sehwag to accept his defeat.

The tweet got a fitting reply from Sehwag who backed up the Indian women's dazzling performance at the World Cup and not only that but Morgan yet again ended up being trolled by the Twitterati.
