Indian opener KL Rahul has rejoined the Indian ahead of the remaining two Test matches against Sri Lanka. Earlier, the right-hander was ruled out of the ongoing first Test in Galle after suffering a bout of viral fever for which he was forced to stay back in Colombo to receive treatment.

He played a vital role in the four-match Test series against Australia where he scored 393 runs which include six half-centuries. Moreover, his contribution with the bat made him the first-choice opener for India. However, in his short career so far, he has been troubled a lot by injuries.
