In an ongoing group A match between Australia and England, Jason Roy pulled off an incredible catch to send Glenn Maxwell packing. Roy showed great agility and composure to take a catch, throw it in, as he went over the ropes, before jumping back in to put an end to maxwell's innings.

Throughout Champions Trophy, England have performed really well are the only side who have made it to the semi-finals of the tournament. In today’s match, they again performed brilliantly and restricted Australia to 277/9 in 50 overs. During the match, Jason Roy produces a dazzling performance that helped England send Glenn Maxwell back to the dressing room.

In the 43rd over of the Australian innings, Mark Wood was handed the ball by Eoin Morgan. Maxwell appeared to have timed the short ball well and it looked like the ball was destined to go into the crowd for a six but Roy had other ideas. Roy plucked the ball above his head, with his foot just behind from the rope, but his momentum was taking him over the ropes. As such he threw the ball inside the rope and balanced himself after stepping back into the field of play to complete the catch. The onfield umpires seemed doubtful about the legality of the catch and decided to refer the decision to the third umpire. In just one look, the third umpire had no hesitation in telling Maxwell to make the long walk back.
