Following their wins against South Africa, England and India, Pakistan have displaced Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to take over the sixth spot in the ICC ODI rankings. Pakistan handed a crushing 180-run defeat to arch-rivals India in the final of the Champions Trophy to clinch their maiden title.

Pakistan, who started at the Champions Trophy as the eighth-ranked team surpassed Bangladesh and Sri Lanka with 95 rating points to demote their Asian rivals to the seventh and eighth spot respectively. The Champions Trophy winners now sit one point ahead of Bangladesh and have a two point lead over Sri Lanka following their wins against three of the top four teams in the rankings namely India, South Africa, and England.

Meanwhile, despite finishing runners-up in the Champions Trophy, India remain third in the rankings with 116 points trailing Australia by a point and toppers South Africa by three. England and New Zealand round off the top five.

On the other hand, West Indies continue to languish at the bottom of the table with just 77 points and now face an uphill task of breaking into the top eight before September 30th to get an automatic entry into the 2019 World Cup. Failing to do so would force the Carribean side to battle it out in the World Cup qualifiers next year to earn a spot in the prestigious event.

Here are the top 10 teams:
