WATCH | Indian team's rigourous fielding session in Bengaluru

India lost the first Test of the four-match series against Australia by 333 runs, their poor fielding as much to blame as their disappointing batting in the first innings. It appears like India are no longer taking any chances as the side underwent a meticulous fielding session in Bengaluru.

In Pune, Australia began their second innings with a lead of 155 runs but lost two early wickets as India looked to claw their way back into the match. However, Australian captain Steve Smith was dropped thrice in the second innings and his 109 set Australia up perfectly for their first Test win in India for over a decade. There was also Umesh Yadav's gaffe that saw the Indian pacer convert an Australian boundary into a six.

India appear to be putting some extra time on the field ahead of the all-important second Test in Bengaluru starting on March 4 that would see a clear favourite for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy emerge. The Indian team was seen doing rigorous drills at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on the eve of the Test with Cheteshwar Pujara and Wriddhiman Saha in the thick of the action.
