After retiring from cricket Virender Sehwag has taken up the role of a commentator and Twitter celebrity. His talents as the latter were on full display after India beat Australia in Dharamsala when he started the "Viru Gharelu Awards" comparing cricketers to everyday objects.

Needing just 87 runs to win on the Day 4 in Dharamsala, India reached the target quite easily to regain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. And as expected, Sehwag did not use the conventional "Congratulations" tweet to praise the Indian players and take some potshots at the Aussies. The 38-year-old started the "Viru Gharelu Awards" comparing the traits of the players to regular household appliances.

He started off with comparing the ever-reliable Cheteshwar Pujara to an inverter. Man of the series Ravindra Jadeja was called a TulluPump while top order batsman KL Rahul, who scored six half-centuries in seven matches was awarded the title of Stabilizer. It wasn't just the Indian players who received awards for their efforts during the series. Aussie captain Steve Smith who has been in the headlines for both good and not so good reasons was called a "Tubelight" by the former Indian star.

But the former Indian batsman was not done, yet. Sehwag went on to release some more "Awards" for Saha Umesh Yadav, Virat Kohli, R Ashwin, Ajinkya Rahane and Kuldeep Yadav, while Peter Handscomb made it too easy for the witty Dehlite.
