Delhi Daredevils face Royal Challengers Bangalore at Feroz Shah Kotla in the last league game of IPL 2017. With both the teams languishing at the bottom having already been eliminated, they have nothing but pride to play for. But RCB will be looking for a face-saving win for the sake of their fans.

Both RCB and DD will be looking to end their campaign on a winning note.

Head to Head:

Royal Challengers Bangalore lead 10-6

Last Meeting:

RCB (157-8) beat DD (142-9) by 15 runs, fending off Rishabh Pant's heroic 57 (36) under completely difficult circumstances.

Who will win?

A.RCB    B.DD

RCB are at rock bottom in the table with just 2 wins from their 13 matches. However, RCB overall have a 61% winning record vs DD. Also, RCB won the reverse fixture vs DD. On the other hand, Delhi have won their last 2 matches while RCB have lost their last 5. Despite possessing immense talent, the inconsistency of DD's young batsmen have let them down. Contrastingly, RCB's senior players have let them down this season, and their confidence is at an all time low. Taking current form into consideration, DD's firepower with the bat and quality with the ball might prove too much for RCB, especially away from home. Thus we predict DD to beat RCB and end their season on a winning note.

Fans verdict:

Who will take more wickets?

A. Cummins    B. Chahal

So far in IPL 2017, Cummins has taken 13 wickets compared to Chahal's 14. Both of them have also taken 4 wickets each in their last 4 matches. Chahal's ability to deceive the batsmen in the air could prove to be vital, and he would also be hoping to get some purchase off the pitch. Hence we predict Chahal to take more wickets than Cummins in this match.

Fans verdict:

Predicted XI:

Delhi Daredevils:  With two wins in their last 2 games, DD finally seem to have found a settled combination and hence they would most likely not tinker with their line-up.

Sanju Samson, Karun Nair, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (wk), Marlon Samuels, Corey Anderson, Patrick Cummins, Amit Mishra, Shahbaz Nadeem, Mohammad Shami, Zaheer Khan (C).

Royal Challengers Bangalore: Despite being blown away by KKR in their last match but it is highly likely that RCB will retain the same XI. The question to be is asked is if Kohli would open the batting, as the Mandeep-Gayle partnership has proved unsuccessful for them.

Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli (C), Mandeep Singh, AB De Villiers, Travis Head, Kedar Jadhav (wk), Pawan Negi, Sreenath Aravind, Samuel Badree, Aniket Choudhary, Yuzvendra Chahal.

Key Players:

Rishabh Pant (DD): Despite being inconsistent, Pant has proved that he can win matches on his own with his blistering knocks in IPL 2017 so far. Having scored 57 runs in the reverse fixture, RCB would vary of his threat.

Yuzvendra Chahal (RCB):  Chahal has been one of the bright spots in an otherwise dull season for RCB. He has taken 14 wickets in IPL 2017 so far, and his economical spell of 4-0-19-1 proved to be crucial in the reverse fixture. He would certainly fancy his chances against the young and relatively inexperienced DD batting line-up.
