Indian skipper Virat Kohli was accompanied by none other than his predecessor MS Dhoni. Earlier, Dhoni had a spectacular day behind the stumps as the veteran wicketkeeper took two catches and also stumped the explosive Colin de Grandhomme.
The 35-year old continued his good form with the bat as well playing a sweet little cameo of 17 consisting of two boundaries and a maximum before rain interrupted play and India were declared winners by the D/L method.
The shot that stood out in Dhoni's innings was his strong back-foot punch that cleared the ropes for a maximum and brought smiles to millions of faces including the Kiwis who themselves couldn't stop admiring Dhoni's brilliance.
