Stuart Clark warns Australia about Virat Kohli and considers Wade-Kohli bust-up as "piddly crap"
Former Australia pacer Stuart Clark warned Australia to not to get involved in a brawl with Virat Kohli as he thrives in such heated instances. Matthew Wade lashed out against Kohli during the 2nd ODI in an incident which Clark termed as piddly crap.
Stuart Clark, who has played 39 ODIs and 24 Tests for Australia between 2005 and 2009, advised the Aussies not to pick up a fight with Kohli, as his performance improves afterĀ such clashes.
"I wouldn't be saying too much toĀ Virat Kohli. He seems to want to fight with everyone and he seems to play 10 times better when he does fight with people," Clark told Sky Sports Radio on Friday.
Wade got into a fight with Kohli, who was unbeaten on 79 at the time, during the second ODI. Kedar Jadhav had missed a delivery from Marcus Stoinis, and Wade hurt his hand while collecting it, allowing Kolhi to run through for a bye. Wade proceeded to get into a verbal dispute with Kolhi for taking the run while he was nursing his hand, and Stoinis joined in the fracas as well. Later on, during Australia's chase of 253, Kohli retorted by givingĀ Wade an apt farewell when the latterās wicket was taken by Kuldeep Yadav.
Stuart Clark considered Wade's outburst againstĀ Virat KohliĀ as "piddly crap" and advised the Aussie wicketkeeper to focus on his own game. HeĀ also criticized Wade's conduct during the Kolkata ODI and said Australia currently had other significant things to worry about than a single run.
