A popular phrase in cricket is ‘catches win matches’, and when it comes off the bat of a player as influential as Virat Kohli, it surely deserves some kind of praise. Kohli was left stunned as Kiwi bowler Trent Boult pulled off a stunning effort at the boundary line to latch on to his potential six.

Virat Kohli is quick like a bullet on the pitch and he expects his Royal Challengers Bangalore teammates to be the same while the team is fielding. And when Delhi Daredevils’ Trent Boult pulled off a spectacular effort to at the edge of the ropes tonight, the RCB skipper was left stunned in awe with hardly any disappointment flashing on his face.

After a rather immature move, which got teammate Quinton De Kock out previously, Kohli and SA power-hitter AB De Villiers had formed a formidable partnership for RCB in their run-chase against Gautam Gambhir-led DD. Former RCB bowler Harshal Patel was bowling the eleventh over with his old skipper on strike.

Patel bowled a rather high full-toss which Kohli happily dispatched to the square leg as he looked sure to have cleared the ropes. But to his and the whole of Chinnaswamy's surprise, Trent Boult, who was placed at the deep square leg, plucked it off thin air with an acrobatic effort that would put even the Hollywood action efforts to shame.

He leapt high in the air and was at full-stretch when he caught the bowl with his right hand. To top it off, his landing was to the point as he managed to hold on to the ball and keep his hands from touching the boundary line by micrometres. What a way to get the Daredevils back into the game and the effort would surely find a place in IPL’s history!
