CSA have signed a four-year MoU with South African Cricketers' Association (SACA), which deals with the benefits for all professional cricketers in SA. So now the professional players wouldn't have to be worried about their employment and regular income in return of representing the country.

CSA and SACA have recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), which deals with the benefits and conditions of employment of all professional cricketers in South Africa. This agreement between the two respective bodies will ensure that the future of all professional cricketers is secured provided that they abide by the terms and conditions of the MoU. In this way, the cricketers, which includes all the professional players, senior provincial players, and all women professionals, wouldn't have to worry much about their employment and regular income in return of playing for the South African association.

The MoU agreed between the two bodies include three different segments. The first segment consists of the Main agreement which deals with regulating the contracts of all the players and similar issues. The second segment comprises the Commercial Rights agreement which shall help to regulate the players’ commercial rights. The third segment is the Recognition Agreement which will help maintain the ongoing relationship between both CSA and SACA.

CSA Chief Executive, Thabang Moroe, speaking on the same issue, said “From our side, I would like to emphasise that we remain committed to a revenue share model. I am also delighted that we have extended the agreement to cover all professional players in South Africa, including senior provincial players and all our women professionals."

“There are now 317 players covered by this agreement. This document includes for the first time a recognition agreement between ourselves and CSA and also serves the commercial rights necessary for CSA's commercial partners," commented SACA Chief Executive Tony Irish.

"The agreement is particularly important in the context of where the game is going at international level. We have put the mechanisms and arrangements in place to retain our best players for the Proteas over the next four years,” Irish added.

Moroe’s words state have a strong sense of reassurance for all the professional cricketers of South Africa. In this way, all these cricketers will now be able to focus more on their training rather than worrying about their future employment, which in turn is a strong benefit for the South African cricket teams, as they shall continue chasing their trail of getting stronger and better without having any worries about their future.
