Former Australian vice-captain David Warner smashed 130 runs against the National High Performance Squad in his first outing since the ball-tampering saga led to his suspension. Warner, along with former captain Steve Smith, will participate in the Global T20 tournament which will be held in Canada.

Warner, who was last seen on theĀ cricket field in Cape Town Test earlier this year, seemed to have moved on from the infamous ball-tampering scandal that brought him anĀ abomination.

Playing for the first time after being slapped with a 12-month ban by CSA, the southpaw blazed away to a stroke-filled 130 against the Australia National High-Performance squad in a practice T20 match at Brisbaneā€™s Allan Border Oval on Thursday.

One of the spectators who witnessed the destructive openerā€™s innings described it as, ā€œI think he hit like 18 sixes.. at least half a dozen went over the grandstand. ā€˜It looked like he had left the scandal behind and moved on... like he didnā€™t have a care in the world.ā€

The southpaw unleashed an array of shots against bowlers who were no match to him and post-match, was seen smiling and mingling with the opposition players.

David Warner will be next seen in the Global T20 tournament in Canada where he has been roped in by Winnipeg Hawks. The tournament will also star return of ex-Australian captain Steve Smith to cricket. Smith will be marquee player for Toronto Nationals.
