The Indian cricket team are in for a gruelling schedule for the next five-year Futures & Programme Cycle (2018-2023) which will see them play a total of 203 international games. Virat Kohli & Co. will play 51 Test matches, 83 ODIs, and 69 T20Is over the span of five years as per the ICC report.

Team India, one of the most successful teams across all three formats of the game at the moment, are gearing up for a tough test ahead of them in the United Kingdom where they will play the likes of Ireland and England over the next three months. That tour will be followed by another foreign trip to Australia.

Now, as per the ICC announcement for the next five-year Futures & Programme Cycle (2018-2023), India will play a total of 203 international matches. This will be the maximum number of matches across all three formats once again as compared to all the other cricketing nations.

In the time period from 2018-2023, India was expected to play 51 Test matches, 83 ODIs, and a record 69 T20 Internationals. India's tally of matches is significantly more than second-placed West Indies (186 matches) and third-placed England at 175.

"While FTP is now a bi-partite agreement but ICC also pitched in with their inputs while setting up the calendar. All those who thought that BCCI will ignore Test cricket should be relieved that we are playing more than 50 Tests in next five years," a senior BCCI official told PTI.

India will also play the second highest number of Tests (England lead the list with 59 games) which is four more than Australia, who are third with 47 games in the longest format. However, in ODIs and T20Is, India will play the maximum games followed by West Indies who are scheduled to play 75 ODIs and 68 T20Is across the span of five years.
