9 Things you missed | From Virat Kohli's humble gesture to Alex Carey's cheap tactics

What a wonderful day in Brisbane and I am glad to be reporting from here...naah, just kidding. But I did manage to find things that you might've missed during the match. Yeah, your eyes are not trained to pick these up. Hence here's my gift. Maybe one day you might be able to spot things like me.

Bowler’s approval

Usually, a bowler will be pissed off at the fielder when a catch is dropped but today we saw something different. When Virat Kohli dropped a catch today, Jasprit Bumrah instead of getting pissed off, he applauded the effort. Or was he too afraid to shout at the captain? Food for thought!

Catch of the match

When Lynn was trashing the Indian bowlers this guy was the only one who could catch the ball while the Indian fielders were watching the ball going over their heads.

The Indian way!

If the Australians irritate the opposition with their sledging then India have their own way of giving it back. Kuldeep Yadav yet again resorted to a false run-up to which Stoinis and Maxwell were extremely irritated and Virat Kohli couldn’t hold his laughter.

Spidercam to the rescue!

Glenn Maxwell’s shot was heading into the hand of an Indian fielder but it hit the spidercam and was eventually called a dead ball!

Technology in cricket!

As sports evolve, technology evolves along with it. Today, when the match was halted because of the rain, the audience could check out the ground up close thanks to this camcart!

Indians everywhere!

Be it England or Australia, you will always find Indians in the stadium! During the cricket match today, there were “India India” chants ringing around the stadium.

The Alex Carey Tactics!

When Justin Langer took over the reins, he promised that the Aussies will not resort to any sort of cheating in the future. But today Alex Carey showed that they haven’t learnt from their mistakes. First, Carey kept on appealing for a catch when it was clearly a wide. Second, he took off the bails without even having the ball in his hands and didn’t even try to stop the umpire from going upstairs.

Brilliant gesture!

Virat Kohli is known to be a fiery character on the field but when it comes to meeting fans he is a very humble person (barring the one incident where he asked the fan to move out of India for liking cricketers from other countries). Today he was spotted signing the autographs for fans during the innings break without even showing a tad bit of irritation.

Banter!

The Australians were seen waving at the Indian crowd as Australia snatched a win against Indian in the final over. Hopefully, the Indian crowds do the same when we win the next game at the MCG!
