Vijay Hazare | Uttarakhand’s Karanveer Kaushal becomes first batsman to record double ton
Uttarakhand batsman Karanveer Kasuhal etched his name in the record books as he became the first batsman to score a double century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in today's match against Sikkim. Kaushal amassed a total of 202 runs off just 135 deliveries at an impressive strike rate of 149.63.

Kaushal hit a staggering 18 fours and nine sixes en route to his double ton while scoring at an impressive strike rate of 149.63. This is the first instance in India’s A-list history where a batsman has manage to record a double century in limited overs cricket.
Kaushal, along with opening partner - Vineet Saxena put up a 296-run stand for the first wicket as Uttarakhand recorded a massive total of 366 runs with the loss of two wickets after 50 overs. Kaushal was dismissed at 202 by Mandup Bhutia while Saxena fell at 100 to the same bowler.

Prior to Kaushal’s exploits, India batsman Ajinkya Rahane’s score of 187 for Mumbai against Maharashtra in the 2007-’08 season was the highest individual score in Indian List-A cricket. That was followed by an unbeaten knock of 178 by Wasim Jaffer for Mumbai against Baroda in Pune during the course of the same season.
