India secured their first ever 10-wicket victory over Windies to cap off the Test series in some style. While Prithvi Shaw stole the show in the entire series, the second Test was an opportunity for the Indian team to break many records and restamp their authority after the England series loss.

1- After registering their biggest ever win in Test cricket (by runs) against Windies in Rajkot, India secured their first-ever 10-wicket win over Windies in Test cricket.

2- Prithvi Shaw (18y 339d) is the second youngest player to hit the winning runs in a Test after Pat Cummins (18y 198d) against SA in Joburg in 2011.

2- Shane Dowrich replaced by Jahmar Hamilton in the Hyderabad Test was the second instance a substitute wicket-keeper took charge. Earlier, in the Johannesburg Test this year, India had replaced Parthiv Patel with Dinesh Karthik after the former suffered an injury.

3 - Number of 100-plus partnerships between Roston Chase and Jason Holder for the seventh wicket, which is the most by any pair in Test history. Back in 2008, Michael Clarke and Cameron White had shared a 106-run stand in Delhi - the last time any visiting team had century partnership for the seventh wicket against India in India, before the Windies duo.

3- Umesh Yadav became the third bowler after Kapil Dev (2) and Javagal Srinath (1) to have picked up more than 10 wickets in a match.

5 - Including Jason Holder, five captains have taken a five-wicket haul in India so far. Richie Benaud (twice), Daniel Vettori, Fazal Mahmood, and Courtney Walsh are the others to have achieved this feat.

7 - This was the seventh successive series win for India against West Indies with India winning all the series played between the two sides since the 2002-03 home series. In 21 Tests in the seven series, they haven't lost a single Test.

10 - The series win against West Indies is India’s consecutive Test series win at home, including the two one-off Test series against Bangladesh and Afghanistan. It is the joint-longest streak for any team at home as Australia had two such streaks ending in 2000 and 2008.

10- Prithvi Shaw’s man of the series award is the 10th instance of a player winning the man of the series award in his debut series. Among Indians, Shaw became the fourth player after Sourav Ganguly, R Ashwin, and Rohit Sharma.

56 - India's lead of 56 runs in the first innings was the least they've secured in their last eight Tests against Windies. The average lead of India in the last six Tests (one was shortened) against West Indies is 292. The leads read 219, 313, 323, 304, 128 and 468.

100 - Kuldeep Yadav completed 100 wickets at the international level in the Hyderabad Test. Since his debut in March 2017, only Kagiso Rabada with 115 wickets, has picked up more wickets than Kuldeep.

500- Ravichandran Ashwin completed 500 first-class wickets in his career.

1994 - Jason Holder's five wickets for 56 runs in the first innings of the Test was the first five-wicket haul by a Windies fast bowler in India since Kenny Benjamin did the same during the Mohali Test in 1994.

4222 - Virat Kohli overcame Misbah ul Haq to be the highest scoring Test captain from Asia. While Misbah scored 4214 runs, Mahela Jayawardene is the third on the list with 3665 runs.
