Faiz Fazal's 91 and Atharva Taide's 148 went in vain as Himachal Pradesh beat Vidarbha after a brilliant chase by PS Khundari (63) and AK Bains (173) the Vijay Hazare trophy 2018 in New Delhi. Baroda also secured a win over Karnataka in VJD method while chased 237 in Bangalore today.

Madhya Pradesh put up a relatively low score of 136 runs as Jaydev Unadkat took four crucial wickets to restrict the opposition. Saurashtra chased the total with ease and registered a comfortable victory. Similarly, in the Elite C group, Odisha managed to mount a decent total of 249 runs against Delhi and then later succeeded to dismiss all their batsmen to a score of 240 runs and registered their win of the tournament.

Chhattisgarh's Ashutosh Singh hit a century and Manoj Singh scored 62 runs but other players failed to stay consistent due to which they could only raise a total of 248 runs which was later chased down by Andhra Pradesh with ease. However, Railways put up a very poor score of 180 runs as every batsmen failed to occupy the crease and stand for the team. Maharashtra managed to easily score the required total within 41 overs and marked their victory.

Faiz Fazal scored 91 runs whereas Atharva Taide scored 148 runs as Vidarbha managed to mount a good score of 297 runs. However, brilliant knocks by PS Khanduri who scored 63 runs and AK Bains who scored 173 runs, helped them turn the game in their favour and earned the victory.

Karnataka struggled to raise a score of 237 runs with most of the batsmen failing to score as Atith Sheth grabbed four crucial dismissals for Baroda. Players like Kedar Devdhar, who scored 123 runs and Deepak Hooda who scored 62 runs, kept the run rate high enough to grant them a victory over Karnataka by VJD method.

In the plate level match, Mizoram managed to score a total of 252 runs as Taruwar Kohli scored 113 runs. The efforts of Sikkim's batsmen couldn't bore any fruit in their favour as Mizoram's Sinan took four wickets and restricted them to a total of 210 runs to secure the victory for the team.

Similarly, Manipur struggled throughout their first innings and managed to score just 125 runs out of which 76 were scored by Yashpal Singh individually. Uttarakhand managed to chase the total with ease as both the openers hit half centuries.

Bihar managed to score 211 runs which seemed to look like a score which could have been easy to chase. However, Samar Quadri destroyed Meghalaya’s ambitions by taking five crucial wickets and earning the victory for Bihar.
