IPL 2019 | MS Dhoni fined for code of conduct breach after altercation with umpire

Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni has been fined 50 percent of his match fee by BCCI after the former Indian skipper charged into the ground to argue with the umpires over a no-ball controversy. CSK were playing away to Rajasthan Royals, when the incident happened, and eventually won the game.
While Chennai's hot streak continued into their seventh IPL match of the season, it was MS Dhoni who lost his cool. The fans saw the former Indian skipper barging into the field to argue with the umpire in a manner that was very uncharacteristic of him.
The incident took place in the final over of the second innings when CSK needed eight runs to win the match. Mitchell Santner was facing Ben Stokes and had managed to nudge the fourth delivery, which was seemingly above his waist, for a double. However, while umpire Ulhas
It had left CSK with 6 runs from the last two balls and the two batsmen at the crease, Santner and Ravindra Jadeja, were seen protesting to the leg umpire, who didn't change his decision. Things escalated in no time and an angry MS Dhoni, who had just got dismissed on the previous ball, was seen walking onto the pitch pointing out to Oxenford that the umpire at the bowlerâs end had signalled a no-ball.
Oxenford, however, stuck to his decision and Santner managed to take his team home by hitting a six off the last ball as CSK sit top of the table with 12 points of seven games. However, Dhoni has been fined for his on-field behaviour as BCCI revealed hours after the game. Â
