Shakib Al Hasan to leave IPL midway for Bangladesh training camp

Shakib Al Hasan is all set to leave his IPL side Sunrisers Hyderabad for a Bangladesh preparatory camp for the World Cup-bound players. The Bangladesh Cricket Board has reached out to Shakib through a letter, asking him to join the 15-man squad before the start of the camp on April 22 or April 23.

An official communication through a letter has been sent to him by the Bangladesh Cricket Board on Tuesday, asking him to join the World Cup-bound squad for the training camp.
"We have sent him the letter yesterday and he is expected to join us on April 22nd or 23rd," said Akram Khan, BCB's Cricket Operations Committee Chairman, reported Cricbuzz.
SRH, who have played seven matches until now, will play their next two matches against Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders on April 17 and April 21 respectively. The star all-rounder may be a part of the SRH camp for these two matches.
Post the training camp, Bangladesh will head to Ireland for a tri-nation series also involving West Indies. The conditions in Ireland will be similar to those in England and will help the team to acclimatise well before the showpiece event. The Mashrafe Mortaza-led side will also play two official warm-up games against Pakistan and India before they face South Africa on June 2 in their first encounter of the quadrennial event.
