Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Captials have acquired the services of former Indian physio Patrick Farhart for the upcoming season. The Australian worked as the physio of the Indian team for a duration of four years, before eventually parting ways with the team post the World Cup.

Former Indian Cricket team physio Patrick Farhart has joined IPL franchise Delhi Capitals on a three-year contract. Farhart, who worked with the Indian team for four years till the conclusion of the 2019 World Cup, has also previously worked for IPL franchises Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians.

“I am delighted to be working in the Indian Premier League again. Delhi Capitals is a team that has made some very positive changes in its setup over the last couple of years, and the result is there to see in the side’s third place finish in the 2019 season,” Farhart was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

The Australian will be a valuable addition to the Delhi Capitals side that finished third in the 2019 edition of the IPL and will be aiming to go one step forward and win the tournament in the 2020 edition.

"It’s an absolute honour for all of us at Delhi Capitals to have Patrick on board with us,” said Delhi Capitals CEO Dhiraj Malhotra, reported Hindustan Times.

“There is no doubt that he is among the best in the business. Patrick not only has an enviable body of work, but he also commands tremendous amount of respect among cricketers. I am absolutely confident that our players will benefit hugely from Patrick’s presence,” he added.
