WI vs IND | Keemo Paul replaces Miguel Cummins in Windies squad for Jamaica Test

Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced on Tuesday that all-rounder Keemo Paul will replace pacer Miguel Cummins in their squad for the second Test in Jamaica. The rest of the squad remains unchanged, and Shai Hope is expected to retain the gloves despite Jamar Hamilton lurking in the squad.

21-year-old all-rounder Keemo Paul has replaced misfiring quick Miguel Cummins in the West Indies squad for the second Test in Jamaica. The change was announced by Cricket West Indies (CWI) on Tuesday, with the rest of the squad remaining unchanged. Cummins had a rather dull outing in the first Test, going wicketless on a surface that offered plenty for the pacers.Ā

Meanwhile, wicketkeeper Shane Dowrich will continue his rehab after being ruled out of the series due to an ankle injury. But Shai Hope is expected to take the gloves for the second Test as well, despite the presence of 28-year-old Jamar Hamilton in the 13-man squad.Ā

Paul looks a certainty to play the second Test, while Jamaica might also see Rahkeem Cornwall in action in international cricket for the first time. Paul has represented the Windies in three Test matches till date claiming six wickets, with his last appearance being a 232-run defeat at the hands of England in the third Test atĀ Gros Islet earlier this year.Ā
