BCB to propose PCB for split series in 2020

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) are likely to lay out a proposal to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for a split series early in 2020. The Bangladesh team is scheduled to tour Pakistan in January-February next year, but the BCB are willing to play only the T20I series in PCB’s home venue.
The BCB is, hence, all set to approach the Pakistan board to take into account their proposal, a part of which will request the hosts to schedule the Test series at a neutral venue. Starting in January 2020, the two teams are scheduled to first play two Tests, followed by three-match T20I series. However, the order could be shuffled depending on the security report. The PCB, being the host board, has already sent a draft itinerary of the said series.
"We may ask Pakistan to split the Test and Twenty20 series. Which series we play first will depend on the security report. If we don't get the green signal for some reason then we have to discuss with them over playing at a neutral venue but if we get the green signal then it's different," BCB cricket operation chairman Akram Khan was quoted as by Cricbuzz.
Earlier this year, the BCB had sent the national women's team and the Bangladesh under-16 team to tour Pakistan after receiving a green signal from the Bangladesh government. The tourist board is now waiting for the same government delegation to hand over a report ahead of the aforementioned men's national team's tour, based on which the BCB will take a final call. Akram Khan has, however, cleared that the decision will be independent of Sri Lanka's tour of Pakistan.
"The government NOC is more important for us than Sri Lanka. Because only then (after getting the NOC) we can think of the tour. We are waiting for a suggestion from the government. We will naturally sit with the players and take their opinion as well," shared Akram Khan.
