The Pakistan Cricket Board has reportedly offered Bangladesh to play a D/N Test match in their upcoming tour which will include two Test matches and three T20Is. While Pakistan has previously played 4 D/N Test matches, winning just one, this will be the first under-lights affair in the country.

While Test cricket is all set to return to Pakistan after a prolonged absence of 10 years with the Sri Lanka team touring the nation for a two-Test match series, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) seem to be restless to regain the reputation of the country as a safe haven for cricket. According to a ESPNcricinfo report, the PCB has proposed the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to include a D/N Test match in their upcoming series which will be played in Pakistan.

Bangladesh are scheduled to tour Pakistan early next year and will be playing two Test matches along with three T20Is during their stay. But their tour is not confirmed yet as the BCB is still waiting for a security report and a government directive in order to confirm their participation.

Bangladesh recently played their maiden D/N Test was against India, which was also the first under-lights affair in India. Although the outcome of the encounter wasn’t very pleasant for Bangladesh, they did express their willingness to play more games with the pink ball. On the other hand, Pakistan has played four Day/Night Test matches, managing to win just one.
