When it comes to cricketing acumen, there is no one who comes close to MS Dhoni in the modern-day cricket. His hand-holding of the spinners is one of the finest tales in the last one year and today, he successfully planned Aaron Finch’s dismissal by combining with Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

The Indian wrist-spinning duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have underscored their wicket-taking prowess in the limited-overs cricket, but the duo had a streetwise Dhoni to thank for hand-holding them to success, more often than not. The lines like "Woh maarnewaladalna, andar ya bahar koi bhi" or the ones like "Woh ghumanewala” were some of the lines he used to dictate the spinner’s plans.

However, today he turned the captain for the pacers as well. After a controversial pull away by Aaron Finch, which was declared dead-ball by the umpire, MS Dhoni immediately asked Bhuvneshwar Kumar to come near him for some tips. He was quite detailed in his planning as he instantly asked him to nip the ball back in - a type of delivery against which Finch was clearly struggling.

Bhuvneshwar understood the planning as he pitched the ball just outside off and got it to swing back in. A restless Finch, who is having one of the worst times of his cricketing career, was on the move after the ball was delivered and he failed to account for the late movement. The shuffle resulted in Finch being beaten on the inside edge and was struck on the pad. The umpire didn’t waste any time to raise his finger to signal the end of the Australian skipper’s innings, and Bhuvneshwar had no one but MS Dhoni to thank for helping him plot that one.
