WHAT A NOSTALGIC CRICKET GAME! No huge scores! A last-over finish! And of course, South Africa lose a World Cup game they should have won. While some fans might have gotten bored after the Morgan show. Don't worry, we have collated a list of some of the things you might have missed in the game.

Umpire helped Markram in pulling up his pants!

Markram hit it towards mid-wicket, where Kane Williamson dived to his left to stop the ball, then fired at the bowler's end and missed. A direct hit would have had Markram. Markram got his thigh pad over his pants while saving himself from getting out, he too had to make a dive.

Trent Boult dropped Markram!

Markram gave slight elevation to long leg but it went at a good height for Boult, who tried a jump and gets into a tangled allowing the ball to slip out. Not sure if the jump was required as it came at a proper height.

South Africa refused to appeal for a clear thick edge from Williamson!

Having already been given a life in Tahir's last over, when Miller "dropped" a difficult chance, Williamson got some more luck going his way. Williamson tried to guide a conventional leg break down to third man. He appeared to have missed the ball going by de Kock's reaction. However, Tahir kept appealing but got literally no support from the other players. Replays later revealed that Williamson had nicked the ball and had South Africa taken the review, it could have been a completely different game.

The luckiest player on field!

As if getting lucky South Africa did not challenge a straight forward nick, Williamson got some more luck. The Kiwi skipper escaped getting run out not once but twice on one ball. After getting rattled by a Rabada bouncer, Williamson was caught at his crease with de Grandhomme almost next to him. As he decided to make a run for it, Rabada had a shy at the stumps with the Kiwi miles out. Even though the pacer missed his target, Miller was right at the stumps and had the chance of completing the run out anyways but failed to collect the ball.

Morris' unique way of celebrating wickets!

South Africa needed a good start to the second innings with some quick wickets and they turned to the only real world class pacer at their disposal in the form of Kagiso Rabada. And the pacer reciprocated with the wicket of Colin Munro on just his seventh ball. What caught our eye, however, was Morris' unique style of pumping Rabada up. That would have hurt! And maybe the reason Rabada did not take another wicket post that one.

Boult gifted Miller a life!

New Zealand have always been a very steady team when it comes to fielding and very rarely do we see them mess things up on that front. Today, however, when Miller decided to go for a suicidal run, it looked like the Kiwis had a straight forward wicket for the taking. As Santner, standing at short midwicket, collected the ball, he realized that Miller was well short and took a shy at stumps without putting any venom in the throw because Boult was right at the stumps as well. While the throw missed, Boult looked to be scared of taking any contact from the ball and let it go through, realizing late that Miller was nowhere close to the crease. The expressions say it all!

Martin Guptill fell over the stumps!

Martin Guptill was trying a pull shot off Andile Phelukwayo's short length delivery and slipped a bit while taking off for a single and took down the stumps with his back leg.
