Earlier this World Cup, India were left red-faced after their match against New Zealand at Trent Bridge got called off due to excessive rain and a wet outfield. It was the third match of this world cup to be called off without a ball being bowled. However, team India can breathe a sigh of relief, as the weather forecast in the lead up to their next match against the West Indies at Old Trafford on Thursday looks promising.
âWe are expecting the North West including Manchester to experience brighter conditions over the next few days, although there is always the risk of isolated showers. Temperatures will rise toward the weekend with values expected to reach the high 20s C on Saturday," Grahame Madge, a Met Office spokesman, told Sportstar.
