India vs Australia | Glenn Maxwell will get a chance to bat higher up the order, informs Aaron Finch

Aaron Finch has informed that he will give in from Glenn Maxwell a chance to bat higher up the batting order in the upcoming ODI series against the Indians. The Australian captain has further mentioned that Alex Carey will also get a chance in the playing XI for the Hyderabad ODI.
Glenn Maxwell was the top performer for the Australians in the two-match T20I series against the Indians as he scored a fifty and a hundred in Vizag and Bengaluru respectively which helped the visitors win the series 2-0. A day before the start of the ODI series, the team management has decided to reward as skipper Finch has announced that the all-rounder will get a chance to bat higher up the order in the 50-over format.
“His two knocks here were unbelievable. Especially that last one, it was as good a T20 innings I’ve ever seen in terms of a big run chase, where the rate was always hovering around 10-11-12 which makes it difficult to manage your risk-reward scenarios,” Finch said before the Hyderabad ODI, reported Indian Express.
“He’ll get an opportunity a bit higher up the order, no doubt. His record in India is very good, the way he played in Australia, even in the ODIs there was some really good improvement. So whether that’s six, whether it’s five – I’m not exactly sure yet. But he’ll get an opportunity a bit higher than seven I’d imagine.”
Finch also spoke about giving Alex Carey a chance in the playing XI in the ODIs by mentioning that he has done well before for the Australian team. The visitors played with Peter Handscomb behind the stumps in the T20Is and he scored 13 and 20* respectively. Handscomb helped the visitors win the second game as he stitched together a 99-run stand with Maxwell in Bengaluru.
“Alex has done well when he’s had his opportunities and I know he was really disappointed missing out on the T20 games. But Pete had done a good job for the Stars and gave us the luxury of playing that extra bowler as well, which was so important at the end of the day. Going forward, (the keeper) is probably likely to be in that middle-order, No.7 spot,” Finch said.
