Australian skipper Aaron Finch has revealed that their players are like eight-year-old girls around rockstar Justin Bieber when Ricky Ponting is present. One of the most successful ODI captains, Ponting was appointed as Australia's assistant coach in February for the upcoming World Cup in England.

Former Australian cricketer Ricky Ponting has been an impactful as a coach post-retirement. He did a commendable job with the young guns of Delhi Capitals in the recently concluded Indian Premier League and has been influential with the Australian national team as well.

Ponting has a plethora of experience in leading a World Cup side as he has led Australia in three editions, winning two of them. His presence in the current Australian dug-out will boost the high-on-confidence side and help them do better in the big tournament. Finch has revealed that the cricketers are always trying to impress the coach and behave like eight-year-old girls around pop star Justin Bieber.

"The boys all want to impress 'Punter'. Everyone wants to impress Punter, you should see them - it's like eight-year-old girls around Justin Bieber when Punter's around the changeroom. It's embarrassing, but it's great Finch said, reported cricket.com.au.

Australia have managed to gain momentum just before the World Cup, beating India and Pakistan respectively. In the absence of David Warner, Finch gelled well with Usman Khawaja to form a prolific opening pair. After a terrible run, Finch went berserk in the series against Pakistan and plundered massive runs to regain his lost mojo.

"That was really exciting for me, it meant so much to see how happy others were for me to get some runs. The lessons that I learned and the support that I got from players and everyone was unbelievable, and it really makes you think about the care that there is for the individual player,” Finch added.
