England pacer Jofra Archer has set his sights on picking the wicket of Indian captain Virat Kohli in the upcoming edition of the ICC World Cup 2019 which is scheduled to start on May 30. Archer added that he has an edge over his teammates having played in the IPL in the last two years.

The England cricket team will be gunning for glory as they embark on their 2019 World Cup campaign as they step up preparations in the coming days. Jofra Archerā€™s inclusion in the 15-man squad for the global showpiece will serve as a boost for Eoin Morganā€™s men who will get some much-needed pace in the bowling department.

Archer, who had another successful season with Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, has set himself the goal of picking up the important wicket of Virat Kohli during the World Cup when the two teams meet in the coming weeks.

"I'd quite like to get Virat Kohli out because I wasn't able to in the IPL. Chris Gayle as well. I think I probably have a bigger advantage over some of the other guys in our team," Archer said in a recent interview with Sky Sports.

Archer has picked up a total of 26 wickets in two seasons for Rajasthan Royals and recently made his England debut in the series win against Pakistan. England will take on India on June 14 at Southampton and the battle between Kohli and Archer will be a treat for the neutral crowd.

"We play (these guys) twice a (season) in the IPL, so you know their weaknesses, you know their strengths, you know if they can't run between the wickets... it gets you an extra bit of inside information.

"To be honest, I think international cricket is probably the same intensity as the IPL. I think the only thing that changes is the amount of overs (the IPL is a Twenty20 competition)," Archer added.
