Former Australian cricketer Brett Leee has claimed that the yorkers work in any part of the world. He also believes that Australia have the best bowling attack with the presence of Mitchell Starc, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Pat Cummins and Jason Behrendorff for the upcoming World Cup in England and Wales.

The surfaces in the upcoming World Cup are expected to be flat ones that will be conducive for batting. England dished out extremely batting conducive wickets in the recently concluded series against Pakistan and totals of 300 above were breached in every game. With the balance of the game being heavily tilted towards the batsman, Brett Lee feels that yorkers should be the way to go as it continues to be effective no matter what the conditions are.

“The yorker works anywhere in the world. If it’s hitting inside the box, it doesn’t matter where you bowl the yorker. You can bowl it at the WACA, you can bowl it at Lord’s,” Lee was quoted by foxsports.com.au at Fox Cricket’s World Cup launch.

Australia have a fine pool of bowlers for the upcoming tournament. Mitchell Starc was the highest wicket-taker in the 2015 World Cup edition and continues to be one of the biggest threats in white ball cricket while Pat Cummins’ rise as a bowler has been mesmerising. In Jason Behrendorff, Culter-Nile they have two potent bowlers while one can’t afford to take Stoinis lightly. Lee opines that it’s difficult to go past Australia while talking about the best bowling attack in the tournament.

“It’s hard to go past the Aussies. If Mitchell Starc’s on his game with his inswinging yorker - Pat Cummins bowls a good yorker, Stoinis has got a good yorker in him – so they’ve got a pretty good side. They’ve got Coulter-Nile as another option. He might be dangerous on those pitches too if there’s something in the wicket and he can try nick them off ... Behrendorff is an option too."
