We’ve absolute clarity on MS Dhoni’s future, reveals Sourav Ganguly
BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that there is absolute clarity between the board, the team management, the selectors and MS Dhoni himself on the former captain’s future. MS Dhoni has not played for India after the heartbreaking semi-final exit from the World Cup in July.
Although the Men in Blue have been in rampant form since the World Cup, nearly every ardent fan still has MSD’s future looming large somewhere in the back of their heads. Recently, head coach Ravi Shastri commented that IPL 2020 will give a clear picture on Dhoni’s future and the newly-elected president agrees.Â
“We will see what happens, there’s enough time. Of course, it will get clear (within three months). No no, there is clarity, but certain things cannot be said on a public platform. There is absolute clarity on MS Dhoni and you’ll find out in time. There’s transparency between the Board, MS and the selectors. When you deal with such champions – MS Dhoni is an unbelievable athlete for India – certain things have to be kept within closed doors. It’s very transparent and everybody knows where they stand,” Ganguly told PTI.
While Dhoni himself has so far refused to talk much regarding his future, Ganguly requested that all further questions regarding his return to cricket should only be asked after January 2020.
