Following their recent heroics in Pakistan, where they handed the home team a reality check as they clinched the T20 series, Sri Lanka has started believing that the pinnacle is within their reach. According to reports, Jonty Rhodes and Brett Lee are being approached by SLC for coaching duties.

Sri Lanka team seem to be going through a dark phase after their heroics in the 2011 World Cup as their big guns hung up their boots. But their recent win over Pakistan in their backyard seems to have sparked a fire in Sri Lankan cricket.

According to a Ceylon Today report, the Sri Lankan Cricket is putting in efforts to get the services of former South African player Jonty Rhodes and Aussie quick Brett Lee as fielding and bowling coach of the team respectively.

After the emphatic series clean sweep in Pakistan, the SLC has realised that the pinnacle is within their reach and hence wants these experts to lend their knowledge to the senior players and local coaches. The prolific fielder Rhodes was recently in Sri Lanka to coach some school teams.

This would mean that their bowling department would have two great pacers, Wasim Akram and Bret Lee. Both the quicks are one of the best their team has had and are most likely to join forces to guide the Sri Lanka team on their path to regain their lost glory.
