Kuldeep Yadav, who is going through a difficult phase of his cricketing career, has stated that he will continue to work hard. After a disappointing performance in the World Cup, the wrist-spinner has been warming the bench in Test matches while he has been sidelined from the T20 side.

India’s ace “limited-overs” spinner Kuldeep Yadav is having a tough a month or two. Kuldeep who was branded as India’s trump card in the World Cup, was an utter failure bagging only six wickets in seven matches. Since then he only played the ODIs in the West Indies while he was on the bench for both the Tests.

Kuldeep has also been sidelined from the T20 side as the Indian team is trying out youngsters with the T20 World Cup ahead. But amongst all this chaos, Kuldeep has accepted this challenge and isn’t afraid to work hard to overcome it.

"When I started playing cricket, never thought I would play for India. I have been playing for India close to three years now, there will be many challenges, like the one I am facing at the moment. There is nothing without hardwork and discipline and I continue to play the game with that approach," TOI quoted Kuldeep saying so at a promotional event.

With both Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja doing their part brilliantly with the ball, it will be really tough for Kuldeep to break into the Test XI. Also, the resurgence of Jadeja ‘the dependable all rounder’ can pose a stiff challenge for Kuldeep in the shorter format.

“I will talk about it when the Test series is over,” said Kuldeep when asked if the team management has let him know reason for his omission from the T20 side.
