Manchester United wonder-kid Marcus Rashford has said that he "dreams" of scoring a Manchester derby goal at the "Theatre of Dreams" today. The teenager, who took English football by storm last season, scored the winning goal against the Citizens in a 1-0 United win at the Etihad last season.

Marcus Rashford holds an incredible record of scoring on his debut in the Europa league, Premier League, League Cup, Manchester derby, and for the National team. The Manchester United academy graduate skipped past City defender Martin Demichelis and coolly placed the ball beyond Joe Hart in last season's derby.

Although the youngster has fond memories of the away win, the Manchester-born player has claimed that his dream goal would be at home against the same opponents.

“Scoring away was a massive moment as well for me, so I can only imagine what a home goal would be like," Rashford told Inside United.

“The game was quite an even one so it could have gone either way. After it went in, the fans were too far away but it was a good feeling with everyone coming towards you. To win the game 1-0 as well, to hold out as a team was a good feeling.''

Manchester United had a great start to the season winning their opening three Premier League games in a row but since then have picked up just five points from six games. City, too, have struggled recently as they are winless in five matches.

The last time the two teams met in the League Cup was in 2010, when the two teams were drawn together in the semi-finals. City came to Old Trafford with a 2-1 lead but goals from Paul Scholes and Michael Carrick put United in the driving seat.

Former United player Carlos Tevez scored to level the scores on aggregate, but a Wayne Rooney goal in the dying embers of the game ensured the game did not go to extra time.
