MS Dhoni scored a brace while Virat Kohli was one of the busiest players on the pitch as All Heart secured a convincing 7-3 victory over All Stars at the Mumbai Football Arena. Shabir Ahluwalia, Ranbir Kapoor, and Aadar Jain scored for the All Stars but it proved to be inconsequential in the end.

Dhoni showed off his footballing skills as he opened the scoring in the seventh minute with a shot from outside the box. The All Stars responded with a few chances of their own but it was the All Heart who extended their lead in the 39th minute. It was the same player, only this time he curled the ball into the far post, from a free kick, to double the All Heart's lead. It became even better for the All Heart side as Anniruddha Srikanth headed in a Virat Kohli corner to put the All Stars under more pressure. But the All Stars responded almost immediately as Shabir Ahluwalia capitalized on some poor defending at the back to put the All Stars on the scoresheet four minutes before half-time.

While the All Stars were expected to launch some sort of a comeback in the second half, it was the All Hearts who increased their lead as Srikanth doubled his personal tally from the penalty spot in the 51st minute. Six minutes later, however, All Stars skipper Ranbir Kapoor, with a well hit shot from the angle, reduced the deficit to two again. Kedar Jadhav added his name to the scoresheet, in the 85th minute, as he pounced on a loose ball to the net to make it 5-2. But keeping with the trend of the game, Aadar Jain produced a consummate finish from outside the box, in the 89th minute, to keep the All Stars within two goals of the All Heart. But that was as good as it got for the Ranbir Kapoor-led team as Kohli made it six with a beautiful near post finish before Shikhar Dhawan added the icing on the cake with a penalty. Dhoni was awarded the Man of the Match for his first-half brace that put his team in complete control right from the outset.
